To be clear: foreigners didn’t invade SA and kill 1,200 of its citizens; and rape, torture, and kidnap hundreds more. The refugees were killed *by* SA citizens in xenophobic pogroms. Of course, if SA (pop. 63 million) had been subject to an atrocity on the level of the one Israel (pop. 9.5 million) suffered on Oct. 7, SA would have lost nearly seven times the number of Jews slain on that day of infamy, or around 8,000 of its people. North by Northwest, the film by HItchcock, has Cary Grant running through the pristine, new halls of the UN. So spectacular. I hope there was a lot of air freshner febreze for the benefit of PM Netanyahu after a horde a dictators and high ranking members of Western delegations staged their walk out before his most recent address.
