Dear Phyllis, I did not mean this comment facetiously or insincerely. After many years of reading and agreeing with your many posts and articles, I thought it might be possible to meet you when you visited Israel. A lot of time has passed since then and I now understand that you are not able to make such a trip. So, I wish you well and hope that your medical issues abate. I also hope that you keep writing and inspiring us with your insight and good writing. And if you ever plan a trip to Israel, please let me know. It would be my honor and pleasure to meet you.
My mother used to say, "I'm a pusher." When she was ready to die she told me," I can't push anymore." I told her it's OK. She died at 94 in 2021 ( not Covid). She was mentally stable and her cognition was OK. She'd always say, " It's a horror what's going on." It's a horror and getting old isn't for the weak and compliant. I end all my conversations the same way " I'm glad I'm old." Keep pushing Phyllis.
No friends to invite me to lounge looking at a mountain, a body of water. I too do most of my socializing with doctors...with chronic pain to assure the remainder of my life will be a challenge. SO I'm commiserating ....enjoy your friend's companionship and friendship....and your family.
So, I guess that you will not be coming to Israel to take up my offer to take you to lunch. Maybe some day. It could happen.
Anyway, carry on. We enjoy reading what you write.
Oh, I so wish that I could.
