I decided to look it up! Thank you for your post.

**"Remember what Amalek did to you on your way out of Egypt.

How he met you on the way and struck down all the weak ones at your rear, when you were weary and exhausted, and he did not fear God.

And when the Lord your God gives you rest from all your enemies around you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance—

you shall erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!"**

This passage is from the Torah, specifically Deuteronomy 25:17-19, which commands the Israelites to remember and eliminate the memory of Amalek for attacking them unjustly.

You’re right, of course. Israel sacrifices future hostages for the current hostages & even for dead bodies held hostage. Hamas knows how to play right into that.

Israel (we) must finish what HaShem commanded

Yes and no. There are respects in which being like other nations is obviously bad, and others in which it is obviously good.

In particular, for military defense it is necessary to have a central and unified command, and a national, patriotic feeling. Representative democracy might have been wise, but at the time was not conceived.

The biggest problem with having a king, in the event, was not its similarity to other nations; but rather (a) that the dynasty had not the political cunning to keep the country unified, and (b) even then would not have had the power to resist conquest by mightier powers.

Had I a loved one...family, even friend ...in those underground extermination camps.....on FB, people with Arab or Muslim names place Ha HA emojis next to that ....I'd be like those in the plaza outside the TA museum demanding the gov't make a deal with the devil....other than this I agree with what you write. Hamas says "we love death, Jews love life" Watch what happens on the streets and campuses when Israel resumes bombing Gaza. See who loves life and death then

Yes. Suddenly there will be great concern when barbarians are duly eliminated. Not when innocents are—at least not if they are Jewish.

The "palestinians" deserve no mercy. They are all hamas.
