Iran Unbound

As ever, we live in both terrifying and miraculous times. The long-time appeasement of Iran by almost every American President—well, those chickens have now come home to roost.

Iran hit a religious Jewish neighborhood in Arad in which everyone had chosen not to go into bomb shelters because they had faith that God would protect them; unbelievably, no one was killed.

I’m not sure what to make of this, but I still wish they’d all gone into shelters.

And now, Saudi Arabia--Saudi Arabia!--wants Israel and America to destroy Iran totally because, the Crown Prince says, the entire Middle East will otherwise never be safe. Degradation is not good enough. Even opening the Strait of Hormuz is not good enough.

Iran and its proxies are relentlessly bombing the North, the South, and the Center of Israel; Israelis are practically living in their safe rooms and in bomb shelters; they are enduring the round-the-clock sound of sirens, alarms, bombs, missiles, and rockets. Will Israel, once again, be sacrificed for the sake of the world’s global economy? That would be tragic but, given our world, also predictable, even understandable.

Do I lack the faith of Arad’s Gur Hasidim? Am I imagining the worst--even as we approach the miracles of Passover?

Will the mighty IDF and the mighty American forces prevail over evil? Or will God have to step in as well?

Does anyone believe that the Iranian terrorist regime will ever stop? They are targeting civilian areas, not military headquarters, with cluster bombs. Mark this well: This is who they are. This is what Israel, the Arab Gulf states, and the West are all up against. Iran will fight until the last man and the last boy are standing. Maybe until the last chadored woman is standing too. Once shamed, the Iranian need for revenge is absolutely bottomless. This is what Hamas is like. They also target civilians, beginning with their own, as well as Israel’s. Is anyone watching them? Are they already rearming?

Did anyone ever believe that the Iranian regime could really be stopped without the world’s paying an unimaginable price? Without Israel especially paying a huge price? What were all the American Presidents thinking when they chose to enrich and appease Iran? Putting off paying a smaller price? And now facing the consequences of a much greater price?

American bases and American soldiers have been attacked, wounded, and murdered.

Trump has, momentarily, stopped America’s war efforts in favor of negotiation--or as a way of buying time.

But verily I say unto him and to Witkoff and to Kushner: Iran does not negotiate; Iran does not negotiate in good faith; at best, a temporary “peace” may be obtained, during which time countries like Iran (or other Islamic terrorist paramilitary forces) always, always regroup, rearm, and begin again.

Guys! What’s the plan? Are you playing 4-D chess with Iran and with the world? Or are you caving to pressure for the sake of your corporate interests?

Will God again save the Jews and all of humanity? God always has--but only a remnant. So many have been obliterated, lost forever in the “mists of time.”

Me, personally? I keep working on my book--The Utter and Complete Palestinianization of American Feminism--but an end is now in sight. I also troll television and the internet, read magazines, and look for how opposing media present the same breaking news. I consume the pro-Israel and the anti-Israel media. The pro-American and the anti-American media. I cannot read one more line about British royalty or about Epstein the criminal and his great good buddy the former Prince Andrew. Why did Mummy protect him and enable his crimes for so long?

But I am only human and need something more to keep me going in these terrible times. I’ve read some wonderful books (more about this later); listened to/watched classical music, ballet, and opera snippets on Instagram; watched an interesting documentary on Itzhak Perlman, violinist extraordinaire.

Oh, yes: A tooth fell out; it had apparently shattered into countless fragments. I had no choice. Three implants and bone grafts later--only to discover that my bones are not strong enough to bear the weight of new, cute, fake teeth. Have to ice. Have to heal. Have to return. Well, I have a wonderful dentist and a wonderful dental-office team...and yet--the pain was actually enough to keep me away from reading and writing. And so, instead, I re-watched episodes of various time-traveling romances...and although I did not get to Game of Thrones, I remembered that I’ve always wanted to fly on a fire-breathing dragon’s back.

Doesn’t everyone?
