A comprehensive article. And sobering. It's particularly worrying to realize just how easy it is to slip antisemitism into *any* movement and twist that movement beyond not only its original purpose but also all rational basis.

A superb piece. Thank you. Absolutely horrifying but so very well written.

comparable to the insanity in the "Queer" movement. Israel practdices "pink washing" while Iran is progressive when it hangs young men in the public square or women are stoned to death.

Excellent. I have to say again, the women attacking Jewish people are NOT feminists. From the beginning of the Lesbian Feminism I found as a teenager in 1970, it was clear that much of our best writing and politics were by Jewish Lesbians and women. We appreciated them and still do. No one I knew was anti-Israel. Also no one was Leftist in the sense of belonging to a Leftist organization, though some women were sent in from the Socialist Worker's Party to recruit us. (They either came out or went back to middle class money-making careers.)

I keep thinking that this horrific anti-Semitism comes more from the class-privileged who feel superior to those they consider beneath them, think they are smarter, and should lead every movement, while guilt-tripping women into believing lies. When I saw the first photos from October 7, it was clear to me and my friends (including European working class friends) that the Israel women had been raped and tortured. Then we saw all the lies online denying it, and none of that changed our minds. I try to keep it simple -- The women being so aggressive and cruel in their supporting islamists, would they rather live in any of those female-hating countries or in Israel?

There have always been men and women trying to appropriate our Feminist community, movement, and culture. Men claiming to be women have been the most destructive in getting women to betray women.

Again, these are not remotely "feminists." They are the enemies of Feminists.

I am not being difficult, but I Never believe any narratives now that so many obvious fakes flags have occurred. Is it supposition about the women being sexually abused and tortured? Were there actual probable photos? Then again, with deep fake, one can never tell. I only saw the young lady with a dirty smudge on the rear end of her pants as the terrorists were loading her in the back of the truck. Absolutely No fight in her to resist at all. The mother and daughter released to Ma. No obvious abuse symptoms appeared and the small girl acted normal. A child would be showing quite obvious trauma symptoms with killing threats and screaming going on. None. Don't take me out of context here. These antisemitic "free Palestine" are feminist goons. And why oh why did the bouncers break up the fight? For once maybe women would fight like tough gals with fists and not the prissy little hair pulling stereotypes that is pathetic.

The footage of October 7 was livestreamed by the terrorists themselves and has been repeatedly verified by the UN and many reliable sources. Indeed, the only people denying it come from the dark corners of the trolling social media class.

At this point, after 2+ years, those who deny filmed atrocities of October 7 would benefit from introspection and consciousness-raising about why they don't want to believe it's true.

Deborah, it is true that Muslims tortured & killed Jews in the most gruesome, sadistic ways possible on Oct. 7th. The event was enthusiastically documented by the perpetrators themselves. Not sure how you remain skeptical at this late date. It’s very hard to see, but there is plenty of hard evidence.

I am way more than aware of the atrocities and hatred carried out against the Jewish people by Arab and other factions. The Gaza Strip was stolen from God's people in 2005 and given to the Palestinian UN pawns who destroyed the infrastructure and turned it into a third world. How soon people forget that little fact. I'm saying there are some things that don't add up, of which I am very good at noticing.

Thanks for writing this history. Most don't understand the history, nor the reality that the Cold War has not ended. (I do, I grew up in the American left.)

If you haven’t already read it, Phyllis’s book, ‘The New Antisemitism’ is excellent; there is also an interview I did with her here: https://feministsagainstantisemitism.substack.com/p/she-warned-us-phyllis-chesler-on?r=abs38&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I'm on "the left and self-identify as a feminist," and my understanding of feminism is that it exists to fight "the one thing that unites women everywhere on the planet, which is the threat and reality of male violence." Everything else -- nationality, ethnicity, religion, culture -- is secondary. Yes, those aspects are of course important but don't override the issue which is crucial to women.

I can not understand women turning against other women based on those secondary issues. If they do they may 'self-identify' as feminists but are not.

Women are just as capable of being rational as men, despite stereotypes. There is an abundance of evidence of Hamas' rape and murder of Israeli women, evidence in the terrorists' own videos. Those denying this are deluding themselves or lying.
